SOLD
1985 Toyota 4Runner I purchased this approximately 7 years ago and built it up with my buddy who is extremely competent and experienced, especially with Toyotas along with professional work done Good Stuff: Alcan Springs with orbit eyes in rear, extended mounting points in rear 5 speed manual Engine was replaced with used one probably less than 5000 miles ago with engine that was guessed came from 90,000 vehicle or so Long spring shackles Dual transfer cases Detroit lockers front and rear 5.29 gear ratio custom roll cage ARB Bumper front Custom Bumper rear Swing out rear tire carrier Extended brake lines Mile Marker 8000 winch 35 x 12.50x 15 Goodyear MTR tires Engine Replaced with newer unit Replaced TPS (throttle position sensor) Highsteer Front Axle seals replaced Alpine Cassette Radio Soft top (needs some hardware (nuts/bolts) Large shock hoop mounts Deutsch Tech shocks Rock sliders Shoulder seat belts installed in rear outboard seats Removable top Bad Stuff: Speedo doesn’t work due to chipped gear Because the speedo and odometer do not work, the exact miles are unknown but the odometer is about 188,000 and I would guess I have driven less then 5000 miles on it since the odometer broke. TPS seems to need adjusting at certain RPM’s Transfer case fluid leak **EDIT - fixed as of 10/10/09 Radio works intermittently (possibly wiring) **EDIT - Fixed as of 10/11/09 Fan clutch makes noise Transmission mounting bolt holes stripped on one side Rust Carpets are old Rear automatic window works great but window comes out of roller if not careful Crack on dash Some relatively minor body damage from rock crawling ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
