I just installed a new Sony XPLOD stereo that has XM, CD changer, and soon a DVD player, so going through water deeper than my floorboards is out of the question. Besides, I am the type of person that will repack my bearings and change diff oil every time water goes past the hubs. I want my truck to last, and when I die, I'll be buried in it.

And if you think I'm scared to use my truck...

I value my truck and take pride in where all my truck will go and that it is not limited by computers, stereo, DVD player.

My truck is a daily driver, so I want luxry and capability. I'm trying to get a second Toyota to make an all out toy with. I bought a Dodge class "C" motorhome to re-sell. Then I will get another Toyota to play with. My neighbor has a 3/4 ton Chevy 4X4 he wants hauled off. Maybe I will get the axles and springs from it.

The stock air Intake on a Toyota is right behind the drivers side headlight, One wrong dip into a deep enough mud hole or creek, and you WILL hydro lock your engine, IVE SEEN IT HAPPEN.

For the cost of a snorkel It is WELL WORTH the money,

Lets do a cost break down.
S N O R K E L

My Home Made Snorkel Cost $80 bucks
Safari Snorkel $350 +
Toyota Terrors Kick ass Snorkel ?? $250 ish ?

E N G I N E 22RE's cause thats what I Know

Use 22RE For Japan Auto $1700
22RE from LCEnginering $3500 and Up
Rebuild your engine $1000 +

Its basic insurance. Plus I find my air filter stays cleaner longer

Not on my '84. The carb sits higher than the valve cover.
