Helped out this weekend
This weekend was AWESOME! I volunteered to help out with "Primitive Racing's" rally school Friday and Saturday, and SCCA rally cross event that followed on Sunday. They had me run the water truck for dust and traction control. Since the events are held at the fairgrounds in Hillsborro, a CDL is not required.
I learned clutchless shifting, where to lay water for dust controll without compleatly destroying traction, and got to give rides to my son (Logan 9) and a handfull of other kids. They had so much fun! lost count of how many truck loads I ran (35+? 5500gallon loads), but it was great just being involved in racing. Oh yah, I also got to sit in on the rally class for free, so I heard the theories on how to corner like a pro on dirt. Now I have to find a safe place to practice all my new found knowledge ![]()
