Well as you know, the 85 4Runner is gonzos.... Thankfully a local Toyota enthusiast is the new owner so it will be cared for and well taken care of.

My search continued for my next project and as of a week and a half ago, I was successfull in finding one! A factory locked 1996 FZJ80. My wife and I took a trip to CA for the purchase, and hit up three national parks on the way back in it!

For the past 6 days, I have been getting crazy with it by adding things. The whole enchilada! Bumper, winch, tires, snorkel, rack (homemade) and more! The lift, an Old Man Emu will be installed in the next day or so!

BEFORE & 6 DAYS LATER!!!

Old Bumper will remain in storage. For the time being at least. Yes on the AC Drier, or at least fab up a skid plate for it!

So..where is the lift? And how you going to feel when you dent and scratch it when you run 5+ trails in this?

Hey Johnny,

What man you chose OME?

Uh, you mean what made me ?

Simply put, Old Man Emu is the best for an FZJ80. The ride is out of this world. As smooth and comfortable as stock, something I wished to retain (sick of the old bumpy bouncy old rockcrawlers  ) and the articulation is great too.

Besides, there is really not much more out there other than Slee and I really didn't want to go 5 or 6 inch.

Hey Johnny,

What made you chose OME?

That's what my Grandpa is running on his 96, I was just wondering what your research pulled up?
