did anyone ever swap a diesel into a toyota picup 89-93 style?

would a landcruiser fit?

i wanna put in one of the older vw turbo diesels they lay down some torque plus they get good gas mileage and they're cool.

thw VW TD motors are amazing, I'm into Vw's I'd like to put a TDI in with with injectors and a chipped BOX into the toyota that would give me close to 300 FPT
