anyone know ehere these go?

85 4 runner 22rec motor...
I had my head rebuilt and I'm in the process of putting everything back together, but I have these two little cylinders that I believe came from somewhere under the valve cover. Anyone know where these two cylinders are supposed to go?

The two cylinders are sitting on the front of the block and they are hollow

i have never seen any cylinders when i have taken appart my motor. it sure does suck when you have extra parts though, hope you figure it out, might go down and talk to a tech at your local toy dealership.

i think they go between the oil pump and timing cover

My first thought was that they fit into the head under the rocker arm assymbly kinda like alignment dowels and the head bolts go through them on the driver or passenger side (don't remember which) but they look like they might be a bit small for that. The scale of the picture is throwing me off a little.

Thanks for the replys guys. Slodrivr you were really close...went to the Toyata dealership...good idea 85tanker, and they act as alignment dowels for the bolts that go through the cam cover caps.
