2wheel conv. to 4wheel??

ok heres the scoop. im looking for a new project truck. something that i can build into a serious trail rig. i found a 86 2wheel drive p'u for way cheap and it runs. my question is if i went out and bought an all pro solid axle kit could i in fact mount a solid axle to it and make it 4wheel drive? or is it more trouble than im thinking? and if anyone has any leads to a "rolling chassis" in the washington area let me know. im just looking for a 84 and up pickup...doesnt have to run...dont care about body damage as i'd be ditching the bed, doors and fenders. it would be nice to have a nice cab though. basically going to use it as a trailered rig. im located in bellingham. not looking to spend alot of cash either. 360-815-0278 jim

yup and allpro or marlin sas kit would do the trick for ya.

but youll need a 4wd tranny and tcase to finish the job.
