i have a 1987 4runner sr5 with a 5speed manual transmission. i just checked the clutch master cylinder reservoir tank and it is pretty much empty. i followed the line down to the passenger side of the tranny and i found the leak coming out of a rubber boot from what i think is the clutch release cylinder. is this an easy fix and should i not drive my truck untill i fix it? what are the problems that might arise from continuing to drive? thanks for any help!

The rubber boot that you are talking about is the slave cylander. It is a pretty easy fix, just make sure you have a friend to bleed it with you. I would fix it as soon as possible or you can keep putting brake fluid in the resivior. If you keep driving it with no fluid, the clutch will not be able to engauge properly and lead to a lot of grinding. It's pretty easy though.
