I have an '87 runner, 22re that I am looking into putting shackles on the rear. Someone was showing me some home made ones that looked pretty solid, and he made them for really cheap.
Has anyone done this? Is it safe?
The guy who showed me this was supposed to post on here pictures and a shopping list of what to buy, and how to build them. If anyone else has done this, please let me know.
Or, if anyone know a place to buy a pair that is fairly inexpensive, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
Josh

use 2"x3/8" stock, cut all to length, clamp together, mark center point on both ends, drill 1/4 hole, insert 1/4 bolt(has to be long enough to go through all shackles) tighten, drill other ends 1/4 hole, then drill to needed diameter, pretty easy, just remember if you drill them all together the holes will all be the same distance

i buy 2x3/8 thick steel as well in 20 foot length wich the 10 dollar minimum and then i do what he did i cut some peices the same size mark one and drill the holes on one end then bolt them together and drill the 2nd hold so they are all aligned.

mine are 8 inches hole to hole and i haver never bent one.
