fule injection i would assume.. i would say vacuum leak or your injector needs to be cleaned and balanced. timeing...

spark plugs wires. cap and rotor. fuel filter.. fuel pump..

start with the cheapers and work your way up.

I had your exact same problem, I replaced my oxygen sensor(69$) at napa and it ran great, my air bleed screw on my throttle body was out to far also, it should be recessed into the housing a little, mind had loosened itself out a lot

sounds like a Throtle Position Sensor (TPS), but i would also check the filter, and then put your finger over the output of the fuel pump, and see if you can hold back the pressure with your finger while a friend tries to start it, if you can hold it back then you have a weak pump.

I used to have the same problem with mine. I was puttin am/pm gas in or costco gas which is even worse and it ran terrible. Ever since then I ran a couple things of injector cleaner through and then i run chevron gas in there and I haven't had a problem since, just my experiences with that, the only way it would run was to the freakin floor.

I agree with 85Tanker. It is most definantly a Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS). You can start by retrieving any codes that the ECM has stored in it. For an 86' EFI truck, the TPS code is #7. You must make sure that the TPS is set right with an ohmmeter. Unless you have the right tools and knowlage, I would recommend taking it to a mechanic.
