use the old a/c output hose otherwise you have a tendency to burn up regular air lines. compressing gases makes heat, the stock output hose works well for that because it was designed to with stand the heat. 3/8 it what I would recommend.

Take both lines off the compressor and take them to a shop that makes hydro lines and have them crip new ends on them........
Then get an air tool oiler and an air filter for a lawn mower or regular air compressor and attach it to the suction line...... the air filter goes first then the oiler.......
On the discharge line put a "tee" . Out of the tee put a pressure switch to turn the compressor on and off (splice through the clutch switch for the comp) and the other part of the tee goes to an air chuck or an air tank...
Tottaly easy and cheap

You said to splice the clutch switch, is this the one and only wire coming off of my a/c pump, and what is a pressure switch that you are saying to put on one side of the tee? thanks for all your help!
