does anyone know of someone who specializes in FJ80 cruisers? I just bought a 1991 FJ80 and i wanted to put a mild 3-4" lift on it. I already found a few companies thqt offer lifts for it but I didn't know if ther were very many out there. I also was curious to know if anyone had any suggestions on lockedrs for that year cruiser, what were the options, and how much modification would be required to install electric lokcers in it? and does anyone ahve any forsale it they'll work?

Ditto on Cruiser Outfitters. Those numbnuts know their crap pretty good.

As to the electric lockers, adding the electric lockers to ANY 80 series that didn't come with them is most easily accomplished by swapping in complete e-lock equipped axle assemblies. Then add in some relays and a switch etc etc. But, if you happen to have an 80 with a full float rear (your '91 WON'T have one...) then you can just swap in the e-lock diff and long splined axle shaft to it. As to the front, IIRC, you pretty much can't just install the e-lock diff and shaft--pretty much a MUST to do a complete axle swap.

That being said, I think having the factory lockers on an 80 would be sweet, but it would be a whole helluva lot easier (Have you tried to find an 80 series e-lock front axle yet?--Good luck.) and probably cheaper (again, priced an 80 series e-lock front axle yet...?) to just have ARBs installed.
