2.25" or 2.5" Exuast on 3.0

Can't deside whether or not to go to 2.5" Exuast.
I would think 2.5" on a 3.0 would be to large.
So 2.25" or 2.5"
And should I start it after the stock 2" Cat or change
the Cat to the larger Diameter.

people say 2.5 from the header back on 4cyl or v6 works great... but i am only doing 2.25 when i do mine as its a rockcrawler and i need lower end torque

'92 toy p/u 3.0 downey headers 2.5" to magnaflow cat and magnaflow muffler. I have a lot of torque!!!
