I am in the middle of rebuilding my 22R. I do not have a double T case yet but it is in the plans. I have heard the double T case will tear the stock motor mounts. I have also heard the heavy duty motor mounts from Rock Stomper and LC Engineering drasticly increase noise and vibration. My truck is a daily driver. Is the heavy duty mounts really needed? Or will I just have to live with a vehicle that is not comfortable on the road?
Here is a good article on chaining the motor mounts so they don't get destroyed. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/MotorMount.shtml Also, I was going to get the rockstomper motormounts, but when i called to order them, they told me "my CD player would have problems playing", so that is how much vibration your looking at.

best way to do it is to weld some chain link between the frame and the motor so that the motor mounts can only flex so much. That way when you are driving around town they still absorb all the vibration, but once you start wheelin hard, the chain will keep the mounts from getting over extended..... not to mention it is a free mod!!!
