cab swap

i'm doing an extra cab swap on my 1st gen reg cab. are 2wd/4wd cabs the same and will an extra cab bolt up to my reg cab frame? what gen extra cab should i look for and how much do they normally cost? thanks

the 2 wd and 4wd cabs are pretty much the same just the shifter holes are bigger in the 4wd models.As too mounting the extra cabs to a standard cab frame you will have to relocate the rear set of cab mounts back about 8" to 10" and will have to remove the front set of bed mounts.Other that that everything will fit just fine. :yes: i've don it twice and even did a 4runner to standard cab frame. :eek:


if you were in Wa. i'd give you a extracab for nothing. :D and any 84 to 88 would work.
