Rough Idling 22R

I can't get my 22R to idle smoothly below 900 RPM's. I checked for vacuum leaks with carb spray and a vacumm guage. All checked "O.K." New plugs, wires and cap. I checked the valve clearances and all is "O.K." I rebuilt the carb (been a carb "specialist for 20 years). Adjusted timing. Checked the timing chain for slack when I had the valve cover off fo the valve adjustment.

I don't know what else it could be. It starts right up. No problems. I'm starting to think maybe my tach is off. Or maybe my cam is going flat? Any ideas?

EGR Sticking open?

My EGR is not hooked up. All of the smog control has been removed. The EGR is still on the manifold and I hooked a vacuum line to it to see what it would do. I could hear it open up when the vacuum was applied. :confused:
