I bought my 87 Turbo PU new My cluch master cylinder started leaking but I had to go overseas and did not get it fixed under warenty I replace it once with a new one but after a few months it started up again does anyone know of this problem I don't want to put another one in if its going leak again in few months. If someone knows a trick about pedal adjustment I would apreciate the help it's like the piston rod cause the seal to go bad.
Thanks

wow wierd... maybe a washer between the master cylinder and the rod would help.

I have the same problem. My old one was leaking al over the inside of my car, replaced it, and I am still randomly losing fluid. If anyone knows what is happening please let us know. One thing i do remember, is centerforce has some warning about adjusting a cluch on their website.

It seams to me if the rod end is at a slight angle it could cause increased wear as the pedal is pumped and could cause it to fail. I had a hard time getting that pedal adjusted to where it felt right.

This is interesting because i noticed mine was starting to leake as well, I added mroe fluid and it seams to be doing ok now, but i know it still leaks ever so slightly,

Then again mine is 23 years old and not exacetaly well maintained by the original owner...

what are some good, general care tips for thease things to possibly help prevent unessasary wear?
