I believe I read somewhere that in order to run crossover steering you have to have 3+inches of lift for engine clearance? is this true? I am wanting to bring my truck's lift hieght down to 0-1 inches but I dont want to be stuck with toyota's stock steering. thanks. -Travis-
wont know until you try it. and y would u bring your truck down to almost stock height anyways ??????
i bet it would work fine if you ask me.
you probably have to run the tierod in stock location and they call that crossover steering... if you have hysteer then that might not work..
but as i said you wont know until you try.

keep us informed ...I would like to try this as well in the near future. I'm rebuilding an '85 right now, and once I get it running well, I want to swap in some 63" chevies and rears up front

i ran mine with 2 inches of lift. it wasn't too bad. sometimes the driverside spring would catch the pitman arm.
