I purchased my 86 4runner with a 3 inch body lift that i plan on takng off. My question is if i can just cut the body lift discs down to the size of the stock ones and use them like that. of course i would get shorter body mount bolts.
depends on the body lift manufacturer and how well you can cut to size... i cant measure a ruler so i suck at getting things exact.
but ya i have heard of people cutting there body lifts down.
dude, in the past i have cut a 3" body lift with a chop saw. depends on your lift kit, but you should get nice strait cuts that way. i made a 1.5" lift for my '48 flatty that way. happy chopping, L.D.

Thanx i think thats what i will do.
you just have to look down the center of the body lift to tell if you can cut it correct?
do they usually have patterns in the middle or is it just solid? this probably depends on the body lift i suppose.
Just a quick heads up, your truck comes stock with no pucks at all, the body just sits on the rubber body mounts. So if you want to go back to stock, just chuck the pucks in the trash can, no cutting required :D

o cool. but then i have to get the smaller body mount bolts. and i think i might get the pollyurethene (sp) rubbers from a guy. have any of you guys gotten the pollyurethene rubbers? if so what do you think about them?
I got a pair, and I like them a lot, got them from www.4crawler.com. The guy there is super nice, and really helpful.
