Anyone swapped in a 350-TH350 w/a 203 case ??? I just bought an 89 toy and the motor is toast,I have a 350-TH350 w/a 203 case already to go into something so I figured I would like to put it in a yota.I know I would have to make drive shafts and install a SAS but does someone make an adapter to use the stock toy case. IF anyone has done something like this let me know, e-mail me at cush8@wwlnk.net THANKS

Downey offroad (http://www.downeyoff-road.com) makes and adapter from the th350 to toy case, advance adapters (http://www.advanceadapters.com) makes a th350 to toy case adapter.
If your not gonna use it as a wheelin machine, just get a 4" lift and 3" body lift with a downey oil pan. No need for sas, but of course it would most likely be less of a hassle doing the sas.
My truck is a 81 (whoraaa), i've got a 4" suspension lift 3" body lift, SBC 355/350/toy setup. dual core 100% aluminum radiator (1" cores!). Electric 16" fan pushing 2700CFM. The radiator was moved about 2 inches forward (using hood pins now). Distributor is about half an inch from the firewall. I Also went with the short water pump setup. So you will have to get short water pump pulleys also. Dont forget the alternator, your gonna need to get the SWP alernator brackets or just buy the low mount SWP bracket that puts the alternator down by your steering box.
For exhaust manifolds I used the stockers, rear dump on the passenger side center dump on the drivers side. My motor mounts are the ones that bolt to the existing mounts. Not the best idea but I havent ripped one off yet.
Dont forget about your shifter. You will need to get a b&m (or of the sorts) shifter. If you get a b&m you will need to cover up your existing shifter hole and get bucket seats if you dont already have them. Dont forget about the temp and oil pressure gauges you will need to get the fittings for those also. also if you have power steering you will need to cut your hoses and have the correct fitting put on or just buy the adapter fittings that will work with the GM pump.
I put alot of time and work into mine. I dont know how much time you are going to put into yours but my truck was down for about 8 months. Expect an experience you will never forget and things that will never go right the first time. Envision a plan and then throw it away because something will make it not work...
If you want some pics let me know...

Hey SPIDER, I appreciate the INFO., I would like some pics if you have the time cush8@wwlnk.net I have an 89 short bed I bought for $ 400 BUCKS w/a blown motor and it is in excellent shape!!!!! This will be be a project truck and have plenty of time to play w/ it. It already has a 3" rancho suspensoin and 3" body, but the SAS is pretty easy to do { have done 4 of them }plus I already have 2 straight axles and make my own brackets so its not going to be tooo expesive,PLUS, like you said , it will probably make life easier for the conversion. It's just a brainy idea I have to do this because my 86' TOY is completed so I am bored and wanted to test my skills on the conversion since I have 75% of the stuff already. COOL,well thanks for the info. and try to send pics if you have a few min. to spare.. CUSH
