hi
ive always been a big fan of toyota pickups
been looking for one latly to get back into 4x4ing
i found one for $800 dollars in this farmers feild

its a 82 shortbed with a almost rust free cab but the bed has the usuall rust
the truck seems to sit a little high for stock so i think it has a lift
it also has ranchero shocks on it
the frame is perfect crawled underneeth it and its solid as can be front to back

for the engine it has a small topend tick but has a aftermarket header and a weber carb. the engine is oily as hell but he has an extra 22r to go with it that came out of another perfectly running truck he said

tires are 31" BFG's long trails that are almost new that have lots of tire clearance that another reason i think its lifted some

what do you guys thinks about this deal
could you help me out in some buying tips on my first toyota :Help:
thanks alot

have u driven it yet? make sure the tranny is tight and that the 4wd works. If that all works and it runs i say go for it.

As far as the oil leaks
It probably needs the valve cover gasket and the 1/2 moon gaskets changed on it.
After you change that stuff buy some engine degreaser hose the engine down with that stuff wait for a while blast it off it should be clean.

Also the tick likely it needs the valves adjusted.

$800 ain't bad try to see if they will take $600 though.
