I am not a salesman for Bosch. Matter of fact, I run Autolite 26's in my Chevy. But I'm going to install the Bosch Platinum +4 in it next. I put them in my '84 Toyota 22R (#4478) and I really noticed a difference in torque. I think I gained nearly 5 HP per plug. Don't quote me. I just know this truck was guttless befor I put in the plugs. Now it wants to squall the tires. I can "squall" 'em in 1st, "bark" 'em in 2nd and "chirp" 'em in 3rd. I'm runnin' 32" rubber. 4 of the plugs cost me $26.00. It was well worth it. Bosch will buy them back if you don't like them. The power gain is compareable to putting roller rockers in a stock 350.

Cool.
Always have preferred Bosch, got flamed for that in another Toyota Forum. The consensus there was Toyota's didn't run well with Bosch. Every body leaned towards NGK.

made my buick v6 run like it had a skip but it only did it every now and again.
they made my dads keep missing at idol that was a big block the idol was real erratic.
it ran better at higher sppeds though.
my buick 4.1 never ran good with them.
I never tried them when my truck still had the yota engine in it.
just my .02 cents
hope they work for you
at least it sounds like a good idea

I ran them for one day, My truck ran worse than ever. I returned them to Checker. The guy at the counter told me that they were designed for bigger motors. I wil say the Bosch Platinums work well but nothing will beat NGK or Denso (Plugs Toyota Dealers recomend) Don't waste your money on these plugs, they are Garbage.

I agree with the last few posts not to waste your money on Bosch plugs. I work in the automotive repair industry and about 90% of the plugs that fail are Bosch plugs. Spark plugs really only make a difference if the old plugs that you took out were in bad shape. I am willing to bet that the old plugs were toast. The best plugs that you can buy for a 22R/RE are the Denso plugs that you get from the Toyota dealer that are about $9.00 a plug

NGK splitfire is the way to go in a Toy ota.
Made a felt horse difference of like 20 in the van.

love the bosch plugs platnum +4 i put em in at 210000 mile tune up and the old ones werent bad only had 1000 on em but i needed cap rotor wires air filter oilchange so i did plugs to had a miss at around 3000 but that was because i knocked my tps wire off when i fixed the water pump check engine light sucks when you know it as simple as a wire and cant find it then you go to the shop and they charge you to find the problem $20 for 2 minutes of looking through codes to find the bad one and it was in front of my face the whole time but bosch +4 is awesome

In the last 6 months, I have ran Champion, NGK, Denso, Bosch and Bosch Platinum +4. My truck accelerates better and gets better milage with the +4. The Champion is worthless. They started missing after just 3 days. NGK, Denso and Bosch all performed the same, with no difference in accelaration or milage. They performed well, and did not miss.

i run the cheapest crapiest plugs u can buy from kragen. i do a tune up more than usual but at least im not saying bosch are shit and ngk are shit and denso are shit. either way whatever plug u find to work out the best for you, use it. plugs are plugs. i got a 85 runner with 245,000 miles on it and 45,000 on a damn close to new motor and i run the cheap ones. Just run whatever you want. it doesnt matter. Dave
