Which engine?

I have a 1988 4-runner which I am dropping a new v-6 in. I am going to buy an old style (solid front axle) which needs a new motor. I am trying to decide which motor I want. right now a 4.3l vortec supercharged sounds like my best option. What do you think.

7m-ge or 5m-ge I will allways take an inline over a v anyday. 7m-ge is turboed. 4x4wire has a 5m swap and if you search there are some experts out there that have done the 7m about 10 times.

7m-ge is not turboed. It is naturally aspirated. The 7m-gte is the turbo. Its gotta have the T in the motor name. I, of coarse, am biased, but I would suggest going with the 7m-gte. It is smoother, and more versatile than the non toyota motors. You can reuse all your toyota stuff with it. And acheaper too. GO here www.supracharged.com all the info you need.
