I may be starting a 80 pickup project. I have to close the deal by this weekend, but it is a truck that I will have to trailer away because it is not running. It is a shortbed with some rust holes and it was an attempted project before me, the last guy herculined the cab and diamond plated the bed ( i dont get why he did that to the bed) but its rolling on 35"s. I dont know why the engine wont start. The electrical is partially fried, but he is including an extra wiring harness. The motor will crank, so it isnt seized. What do you think the reason for it not starting is. ANY CHEAP PARTS YOU GUYS HAVE TO SELL, RUN IT BY ME!!! This is gonna be a BUDGET build...
thanks

also if i wanna run off camber trails trails will i need to get an offroad carb?
no u wont need a carb. ull have to just throttle through it.
i would suggest propane injection instead of the carb and wiring.
on propane it will fix any fuel or electrical problems ur having from what i understand.

Thaks, I was wondering if there were specific parts in the 20R that we notorious for wearing out or breaking in the engine...I will be sure to post pics of the buildup, seeing as I dont lose the truck by not being in possesion by this sunday.

My dad ok-ed the purchase, so im starting my project soon. We are cleaning the garage this weekend so whoever needs parts off and ATV or a whole wrecked atv you need to talk to me if you are somewhat local. If you want a go kart talk to me. The info is in the free and up for trade section. I would like to get toyota parts for this stuff. Might consider trading a K2 Sesh BMX bike too. I will get pics of the truck this weekend and post them.
