I got tired of my old stock seats also, in my 81 Pick-em-up. I went to the wrecking yard and got seats out of an 86 Camry. I had to redrill the the rear holes, but the front lined up. I know that seats out of an 89 Integra are supposed to be a bolt in. MR2 seats are a nice fit. If you can, try to get seats out of a 03 lancer...They looked like they would work pretty nice, all the mounting hardware looked the same, but the guy wanted $300 for leather ones...I just couldnt justify spending that much for seats that were gonna get muddy, dusty, and beat up in my truck. The Camry ones are nice, the drivers side has an adjustable lumbar support and the butt-rest part of the seat moves up and down. I also put in 2 inch risers in the rear because, uh, Im kinda short, lol. An easy modification, and probably a good one if you spend ANY time in your truck. Another direct bolt in would be a set of comfy SR5 seats from any mid-eighties pickup or runner...Let us know how it goes.

mikey,
i have a set of brown seats (tan, actually) out of my wrecked '86 SR5 that aren't doin' anything but gathering dust. these are the fully adjustable (manually) ones that are a direct bolt it. i also have a set of the same in grey out of the '88 SR5 project truck that are in much worse condition. let me know

I put seats from a 98 4Runner Limited in my 86. All I had to do was drill the brackets from under the tracks on both sets of seats and bolt the originals onto the new seats with high strength close tolerance bolts and locknuts. They work great and look like they belong there.

There is a small rip in the drivers seat from sliding out of the truck, and down to the ground, but nothing a set of wet okole seat covers can't handle. Did I mention I'm moving to Hawaii :bye: goodbye Japan!
this is kind of a different idea but has anyone ever tried putting a T-100 semi-bench seat into a 4runner? I have an '88 runner and thought about doing it cause of the raisable arm-rest that doubles as a center console. anyone know if this would work? anyone have one?

i've got some 94 integra seats. all i had to do to install was to elongate one mounting hole.

Both my SR5 4Runners have the Ricaro seats. There were some SR5s that didn't get the adjustable seats. I love them. Before my wife had an SR5 we'd pull the seats out of mine to put in hers for vacation. VERY comfortable. Mine were custom covered, but still the same seat. I've given away two sets of them within the past year, but they are kind of hard to find in bone yards out here.

get the seats out or any MR2 or Supra from mid 80s fully adjustable, have lumbar air bags should bolt right in, or close to it and the mr2's always seem to have nice material because of how the body sits so they don't get messed up in the wrecking yard
