2 Questions
1.) Which is the high pressure in, and which is the high pressure out, for the IFS steering box.

2.) So I mounted my steering box, went to mount the rod from the steering wheel to the box, and it wasn't long enough. Drilled out the sheer pins, spent over an hour with PB Blaster and pliars trying to make it longer. I ended up cutting the sides of the lower half to get the inner shaft out. Now the question.

That shaft is in 2 piece so if I get in a front end accident, the Steering Wheel does not become part of my chest right. So how should I weld the outer tube back togeather so I can still steer, but the shaft will still collapse in an accident?

I am worried I am either going to overweld, and get killed in an accident, or underweld, lose my steering at speed, and fly off the road, to my death. Any suggestions?

It's LOW pressure IN and HIGH pressure OUT. Trucks at home so I can't say which is which right now.

When I stretched my steering shaft I didn't re-pin it. It can't really come apart because each end is connected to something solid (u-joint's at firewall and steering box).

i just welded my steering rod. there was some wax or plastic that kept it from moving before.

I'm not talking it about it coming apart to far, just worried about the idea of it losing itsa ability to collapse in an accident.

Every state around Wyoming has a toyota club, what is that all about?!!! we have just as much awsome offroading as the rest and maybe better than some most how about some of us get one going? i would be more than glad to head it and what have ya. I know some REALLY good spots and places that would make a challenge for any offroader in the surrounding states. If folks are intrested let me know huh ? im in the southwest corner of the state and i know about all the sticks there are to know. some food for thought.

dont weld it.. when you put a body lift on the shaft has to get longer. and the kit comes with a 1/16 roll pin and they sat to drill a hole in the shaft and put the role pin in it.
