Title say's it all.....I know you have to jumper something and I know how to set it?????
We will say this is a 87 runner...with a 84 long block converted to EFI by bolting up the intake and such.
I've seen pictures of a yellow plug on the fender well and some that have connecter plug's by the firewall and I dont have either???????
Can someone give me some direction...Thank's.

I'm assuming the wire harness is an '87 model? If so, there's a diagnostic box behind the fuse box in the engine compartment. Run a jumper between the TE1 and E1 terminals. Idle speed should slow down when the terminals are jumped. :)

After youve jumped the terminal put the timming light on number 1 cylinder, plug it to the battery. Mark a white spot on the notch on the crank pulley and voila! Read the numbers on top of the pulley. To adjust timming loosen the distributor. Take a ride and repeat if needed.

if you don't have anyway to short the computer. do the following.
get your truck up to normal operating temp.
turn off all electircal stuff, i.e. radio ect.
hook up your timing light.
loosen the bolt on the distributor.
then advance your timing to 14 degrees advanced.
that would make you about 8 degrees advanced if you had been able to jump your connector. i've set mine that way and it worked great. especailly at the higher wyoming altitudes we live in! :D

What is the sticker on the hood refering to where i've circled? Is it for the plug in the fuse box that i've circled.I'm still wondering what I need to jumper to set the timing correctly, the wiring is complete and the tag in the doorjam say's "oct 86" so i'm gussing this is a 86 model,if that make's any difference....Thank's

Does your driver's fender have any of those connectors in the pic?

Nope,no holes in the firewall for the round plug's and no square plug in that area either.I've been on roger brown's site but didn't find any info....
