How much would you guys pay for an 88 toyota pick up with a 4 inch suspension and a 2 inch body lift without hood and fenders? Regular cab, short bed, 4x4. And no engine, tranny, tcase and driveshafts. So just a rolling body. Thanks

I wouldn't pay more that 200 at the most

If I had a use for it and it had a clear title, $50.00 at the most.

Then maybe I shouldn't buy it then. I guess the people are asking more then what you guys would pay and i'm one of those guys that jumps head first into a project vehical so I figured I would ask this time.

i like the 50 bux idea.

if u had a motor laying around buy it. if u dont have a motor and u have to purchase a motor then dont buy it unless he gives it to u.

I have a motor laying around but I would still have to get the tranny, t-case and driveshafts. The guy wants $400 for it. should I pass it up? Thanks

I would offer $200 at the most.

If all you need is the tranny, t-case and driveshafts than you could probably get that at a junk yard for less than $ 400. I paid $125 for my t-case. I bet a tranny is around $100 and used driveshafts can't be more than $100. I'd probably offer him $ 200 to take it off his hands.

ya for sure dont pay more than 400 bux.

if u can get it going and running and rolling for less than 700.

if u can get it going for less than a 1000 with the purchase of the truck then its probably worth it.

if not then dont even think about it.

Here is what I'm thinking. I have a 87 pick up right now that has a bent frame, with a 4 inch suspension and a 2 inch body running problem is that I have a bent frame. If I buy that 88 then I can swap out my drive line into the 88 along with hood and fenders. I might be able to get a 79 yota 4x4 and then swap my 87 onto the 79 frame, but the 79 also needs a drive line. Think this is do able? Or have I just gone insane? Thanks

your insane. but it would be amazing if you pull it off. :D

Yeah I'm probably insane but I'm going to try it. Will my 87 cab fit on the 79 frame? Would I still be able to use the 79 fenders, and how much work would it take to make the 79 doors fit my 87 cab? I just wanna swap over my cab cause the 79 cab doesn't have any interior including dash and it has some rust holes through the roof. Thanks

I don't think there is a thing as to much beer. If you lived closer I would say come on over when I start this insane project so you can sit back and drink beer and laugh at me. But your kind of far for that. I'll let you know how many beers had to be consumed to finish the project though :Rockonman

Yeah a lot of work. Does anybody know where to get good deals on driveshafts, tranny and t-case for a long bed? I can't get it any time soon so I don't think I can buy it off of anybody from here, but does anybody know of any companies that have pretty good deals. Thanks
