Mud everywhere

Went wheelin and found some mud. Anyway Do any of you know if I can get a different air cleaner for my weber.Its the rectangle open element and I keep covering it in mud.Also will mud in/on cluth cause chatter. It only did it for a while so I dont know.

try a k&n filter wrap. see if they make one that will fit you're filter.

I had one, I think I paid 10 bucks for it. I ordered it from a 4X4 shop.

If you are going through puddles another problem common with those open sided filters is getting water to splash throught the filter. I kill my 22r when it sucked water on that same setup, even with a prefilter. when you go muddin I used to use old beer cans cut at the top and the bottom so you have a flat sheet and tuck it under the edges of the filter on the front and back to keep water from getting splashed in. From the passenger side fender it looks like this.

Yeah I thought about enclosing the air filter and runing some sort of tube out the back.I dont Know if that would restrict it to much or not. Guess that depends on size of tube and how long it is.
