My dad and I purchased a 72' crusier. It has the F engine. We are going to put a chevrolet 350, with SM 465 tranny. We will keep the toy transfer case, so we can use the same drive lines. Does anyone have any pointers they want to through out there, just for a heads up?
I want to put disc brakes on the front, I was told I can use a pick up that had a solid front axle and swap parts. Does any one know if I need to change the knuckles..

Yes, you have to change your knuckles. You basically need everything off of the mini truck front end. Take the whole knuckle, spindle, hub and everything and put it on your cruiser housing. Then you need to take the mini truck birfeilds and put them on your cruiser axles since your stock birfeilds are course spline. I would suggest puting a knuckle rebuild kit in at the same time.

Or just find a 77 or so front axle and drop it in.
