any full kits recomended? I'll prolly be doing it by myself, first time ever doing anything of the sort...im running 33's on stock suspension. thats why im doing a body lift...otherwise my 33's rub as soon as my shocks compress.
Any recomended techniques? ideas of how long it will take to complete the processe?

Get the Roger Brown Kit. NOT the Performance Accessories kit.
www.4crawler.com
It took me 2 full days to install the kit. Almost all the bolts where seized. theres a metal sleeve inside the body mount that the bolts were seized into.
If you live in an area that see's salt. My recommendation to you is buy new Poly Urethane Body Mounts. This way you can just take the saws all and cut right threw the old body mounts and bolts, Toss them, Install the new Poly Mounts, the new lift bolts and your Done.
This will save you HOURS and HOURS and HOURS.

whats wrong with the performance accessories one. been running them for years.
as i heard yesterday (as i got pulled over) 2 inches is the max u can have in utah. ( dang lift laws). but i would do a 3 inch body if u want to clear those 33's.
and performance accessories are only 120 bux i think. good lifts.

Are you sure? I thought it was 3". My buddy has a 3" sus. lift and a 4" body on his Dodge (yeah it scares me too) and he's never heard a word about it.
Roger Brown is the way to go. Great guy to deal with and very quality stuff.
that is what i was told its a newer law STOOPID UT LIFT LAWS. m fiances dad said most cops dont care though.

It was 2" but was revised.
(1) A person may not operate on any highway within the state a motor vehicle that is mechanically ...
(h) (raised) so that the lowest portion of the body floor is raised more than three inches above the top of the frame.
Some more interesting info.
(b) Except for original equipment, the use of spacers to increase wheel track width of any vehicle is prohibited.
(c) The use of axle blocks to alter the suspension on the front axle of any vehicle is prohibited.
(d) The stacking of two or more axle blocks of any vehicle is prohibited.
See the whole read here (http://www.le.state.ut.us/~2001/bills/hbillenr/HB0049.htm)
cool then he thought i had over 3 inch bod lift on m truck STOOPID COP.
anwas nice to some other stoopid laws around here.

Whats wrong with the Kit ?. CRAPPY Hardware. Cheesy Material, Terrible instructions. I don't think the guys that made this kit ever installed it. and the Steering Shaft extension is a STUPID Design. Roger Brown's Kit is By far WAY Better.
You get what you pay for. If you want a CHEAP Lift kit get the PA kit, It will work. If you want an Awesome Kit talk to Roger Brown.

another vote for roger browns kit, makes the performance accesories kit look like garbage(which it is). i replaced a PA kit with roger browns, the pucks are solid and wider supporting the body mounts much better(mine were cracking with the dinky PA pucks)

I'm glad he asked this question ! I was thinking that a body lift was a big NO NO ! My new rig has a 2 or 3 inch body lift on it ! I figured I'd take it out when I done the SAS but I guess I'll just leave it in , for some extra clearance !

You will need a Steering Shaft Extension, and radatior Drop bracket (Or you can just remove the lower fan shroud) But your fan won't be centered with the rad.
Roger Brown sells these item seperatly www.4crawler.com

Did a 2.5 on mine when I worked at the Machine shop cost me 12 bucks and took me about 2hrs . Just make what ya need and buy grade 8 bolts.
iv made a 2.5 inch body lift out of round tube and flat stock with 2 holes drilled.
and i beat the $%^* out of it and it held up great.
cost me whatever bolts and nuts cost me.

you guys would recomend the urathane kit as well? whats better about it than the stock? (i suppose if the stock bolts were siezed i could cut them off, then buy some more from a wrecker)
Should I buy a Hi-lift jack? to help with the lift? or will a stock jack do the job alright? with blocks of course. with a 3' body lift, all i'll need to modify will be the steering shaft? get an exstension? and maybe the radiator relocate kit. difficulty installing the steering exstension?
Sorta worried to do it...its my DD dont wanna be outa work for too long..

i was thinking of a body lift also, but so i could tuck my transfer case up into the frame. Does anyone know how much of a lifted crossmember you can run before you have to lift the engine also?
About one inch on the x-member. The real issue is the horsecollar x-member hitting the rear driveshaft. Its that curvy x-member right behind the tcase.

also, 2inch? or 3....in another thread a guy said you run into problems with a 3inch? would a 2inch be better? lol im a noob at all this
Yea, with more than 2", some of the hoses might get to tight, specifically, the gas tank fill and vent, and the radiator hoses. The steering column gets a little tight around there, but you never know till you try. Also, if you still have the stock radiator fan, you are going to need to drop the radiator, or remove the lower shrowd, and loose a lot of the fan's air movement abilities.

do you think that a 2inch body lift will be enough to clear 33's? i can clear them now..but whenever i hit a good bump, or compress my shocks a decent amount i hear/feel it rub

I did a 3" Lift with out any major problems
other than EVERY body mount bolt being siezed. All the lines had enough room in them to stretch
