i got my brothers smitybuilt tube bumber off of his 92 toy pickup and i want to put it on the front my 88 4runner. is welding on a new bracket the best way to put it on. i was thinking to make a square bracket that extended from the body mounts. is this a good idea? has any one put a bumper like this on their truck?

Attach the Bumper to the FRAME. if you want it to hold up

that sounds like the best way to do a rear bumper..but mine is actualy for the front..
