As you see by my avatar, I am 3cylinders of Fury! So I needed a motor. No questions on why I downgraded...it was cheap, and that is my price. (thanks John!) Anyway...I now am having trouble. After swapping all the coolant and heater lines, and the exhaust manifold from the 22R to the 20R, we noticed that the base on the 20R carb is different from the 22R carb. Do'h! WTF! I was told my numerous people that it would be a direct bolt in! I need some help quick, I need to get my rig back in running order, because I work and I cant bum rides. Does anyone happen to have an adapter to put a 22R carb on a 20R manifold or a carb that will miraculously fit? Any advice on what the hell I should do? I have the 20R carb, but I dont want to take another DAY AND A HALF to switch everything back to the way it was, unless it absolutely is the LAST RESORT!

i dont think there is an adapter for that, cuz like you said why would you down grade? but i would just put the 20r carb on. thats your best bet and easiest way

I downgraded and put a 20R in my truck, I used the carb that came with the 20R however.

I would love to help you out. I pulled off all the emissions crap so I just plugged off the vacuum lines. No DEQ to worry about here, yet... I only left the necessary vacuum lines to make it run.

I just went out and looked under the hood of my truck so here is the list of vacuum lines I have:
1) Intake to distributor. There is two lines on mine and then they turn into just one line. Yours may have two small lines all the way to the distributor however.
2) From the bottom of the intake to the brake master cylinder. This is a fairly large vacuum line.
3) From the top right hand side of the intake to the PVC valve. This one has a funky 90* curve in it.
4) There is one that is not really vacuum but goes from the air cleaner to the top, front of the vlave cover, it is just a vent line.
The rest of mine I cut the line off and bent it around to the hole next to it. That way I didn't have to buy a million little caps.
Hopefully that will help you out a little!
