will a carb 5speed bolt to a efi motor, or efi 5speed bolt to a carb motor.....keep in mind i know the block is the same size .. THANKS

if u change the bell housing and keep the tcase with the tranny yes they should all line up fine. id make sure u put a 5 speed in and what not but ya i put a 85 truck tranny in my 91 toy truck and it runs great.

I am currently running an 89' efi motor with an 83 or carbureted 5 speed.

Some of them don't even have removable bellhousings and some of the t-cases are interchangable between trannys so...

All 22s have the same bell housing bolt pattern so the answer is yes, sort of. If you look at this link it will give you a chart showing tranny listings, you'll also find, lower on the page, some photos showing the various types of trannys.
