What can I do with the knock sensor,I believe it need's to be on the motor, just cant be left off or the engine wont run right,Right?
I've heard of welding a nut on the motor mount.I was also thinking of welding a nut on the oil pan.
Any suggestion's,maybe an experience.Thank's...

What year is your block? I'm guessing you have already checked and the hole is missing? I have mine on a motor mount bolt, no problems so far. The engine will run without it but the check engine light gets annoying.

Question is how will it run without? My block is an 84....I swapped the intake off of an 85 EFI block etc...and put it on my 84 block which doesn't have the hole for the sensor and I'm just wondering how I can go about it. Thank's for your input guy's.

I guess that depends on how much your engine pings. It just retards the timing when it detects the engine pinging, usually hard acceleration and climbing grades. If you run good gas and the engine is in good shape it probably won't hurt that much. But it's pretty easy to do the motor mount thing.

Thank's,I'll go the motor mount way.
