Stock sucks right???

I'm looking at purchasing an 88 runner(cause its in my price range and rolls around on 36's), I'm wondering if L8R when I have $$ fall from the sky if I can swap a 90 and newer 4runner body onto this frame, Or should I not even think about it. I want to sas this thing too. All the stuff I own is modified cause stock sucks. Guys can you help me out?

how bad is the body on the 'runner you are looking at? personally i am a big fan of the 84-88 4runners because i like the style of them (2 doors with the removable hard top). so i would stick with that if it was me (i did). otherwise, depending on how bad you need a vehicle, i would hold out a little longer and save up some more cash and get the base vehicle that is closest to what you want to end up with just to save yourself some hassels in the future.

as far as bodys go they mount the same on the frame but what a pain in the butt if u ask me. id rather just buy a 90's runner and build it up. but i agree with illiand i like the removable top and what not.

if i had a 90's runner id chop the back and make it removable or something.
