I need to get some ideas for a tube winch bumper.
My current rig looks like this.

Of course im gonna add some other protection, but i want the winch bumper to be seperate from the exo. I dont want a stinger and i dont have the stock bumper to work around so i have a little more room to play with. Im thinking of taking something that looks like this and making some changes

Mostly making something that looks like the middle section and doing away with the "wings" and "wing" supports.
Anybody have any ideas, pictures, dreams, products or suggestions ??

i recommend a stinger. it looks like your trucks already been rolled. the stinger is goin to help save teh radiator and motor if u go over hard. i have seen them get mangled but it saved the motor and its components.

I have debated the actual stinger idea and ( even have one bent up already ) i decided to go against the typical stinger that you see protruding the front end hindering your aproach angle. Yes i think some look good and some dont, the ones that dont affect much of your approach angle just look hiddeous. However i will have a "stinger" under the hood behind the bumper, so it will protect the motor/radiator in a roll over. It might ruin my hood (a roll over) but hey i have another one. I also plan to tie the exo into the "stinger".

What I was working with-

How it started-

Mockup-

Bent some tube to attach bumper & tacked in into place-

Pulled it off & fully welded it-

Then added headlight guards & attached ends of bumper to frame-

Hope that helps!
Honestly, I don't think I'll do a stinger on my next bumper... too much approach angle lost. But, it depends on what you're doing with the rig. Looks like you may be going all out, so it might be wise to protect the front as much as you can.

Thats more like what i was looking for. Your hoop in the first picture is exactly what i had in mind (to help protect the radiator/engine in a flop). Is that a Warn Universal Mounting Plate that you used or did you make your own ? That would save some time rather than making one. Thanks.
Anyone else ???

Yeah, I really like that look, kinda prerunner-ish. I think it turned out pretty good lookin'. But honestly, it's huge. I could have made the stinger shorter, but... who does that?!
I actually found that winch plate at NPS... I think it was intended for a F*rd. I cut it to fit, placed the tube around it, then welded it together.
