:cuss: Well I have come to the obvious conclusion that somewhere in my lovely little 4runner, I have been blessed with an electrical draw. After sitting for longer than a couple of days, the brand new battery is dead ola.
Before I begin the nightmare of trying to find out where the hell it is, anyone experienced anything blatenly obvious that I should look at first?

Hey WildYoats,
Bummer! Okay, lets start here. I acknowledge your superior skills in automotive abilities, so please don't take offense at my response. I'm just trying to think this out logically.
In order for your battery to be dead, after the ignition is off, something must still be drawing power (duh); so try and remember what accessories, lights, etc., you were using when the truck was last driven, then parked. Eliminate the extra goodies you have put on the truck requiring power. Relays come to mind. Once you meter the relay, you should be able to detect any current still flowing. If all your goodies are closed and not drawing power, then its on to the stock stuff. Check those again one at a time. If they all check out...sorry...brain :fart: I don't know what gives.
Something has to draw partner!
Hopefully I explained this right and didn't make a total :moon: out of myself.
MUDN4RNR :bye:
ahh, :fart: what type of battery did you install? Any signs of exterior damage or to the posts? The short could also be internally and not with your rig. Got a spare battery floating around to swap and check test your rig? After 24 hours or so, if its your rig, it'll drain that sucker dry! If not, your new battery is the :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
