I need winch bumper ideas........

Hi all, I am going to update the front of my 4runner and need some inspiration.

Lets get a bumper/protection thread going.

I'm interested in this also. I am in the middle of a solid axle swap on my '87 4runner and I'm trying to figure out the best/strongest way to attach a winch bumper. I don't want to weld directly to the frame because I need it to be removable, so I'm kinda limited on where I can bolt the new bumper on. The four stock bumper support bolts don't seem strong enough to support a heavy bumper, especially when winching.

I'm with you on that one. I got a torch and a saw and a welder, just need a plan. What we need is for one of these outfits that makes 'em to sell a schematic for $20 so we can build 'em ourselves.

Slim to none.

I guess I'm just being too lazy to spend a couple of days scratching my head.
