I recently purchased my second toyota. By the way this is my first post. Its a 93 toyota 4x4 single cab manual v6 with a big ARB bull bar. I have to say this is my favorite toyota. Anyways I was inspecting the leak on my rear differential and discovered something very odd on the the fill plug.

The Problem: One of the previous owners decided to patch up the fill plug bolt with JB Weld.

My Solution : Find previous owner and slap him retarded.

I have tried using the chisel and hammer, but still no luck. I will also try the impact wrench this weekend but i'm afraid of breaking my wrist. If anyone has any suggestions please say so and I will appreciate your help.

I would heat that sucker up real hot with a torch, than use the impact wrench. If worse comes to worse, torch out the old plug and jb weld and than fill it with real weld, and tap out a new plug. Good luck.

Grind everything off and easy-out the plug.

When you get done go find the guy that did it and beat him like an unwanted step child! I want to beat the previous owner of my truck sometimes when I see the stupidity he had!

You can kill two birds with one stone if you use the POs head to pound the plug out.
