PS Hose

Is there any difference in the lengths of an 82 high pressure hose and one from an IFS truck? I have one from an IFS truck and it is way to long. What hose did you guys use on 1st gen trucks with an IFS steering box?

One other question: What are the two vacuum lines coming out of the power steering pump and where do they go?

The IFS hose is longer, I had to use it on mine instead of the stock hose because I have my PS box moved forward 3".

I forget what the vac lines are for, not all PS pumps have them.

the vacuum lines help bump up the idle when you turn you steering wheel all the way to the stop. when you turn it all the way it puts extra stress on the engine.

Do you think I can cap those lines off? If not where do they hook up on the engine?
