The other day, my check engine light came on on the highway. After coming to a stop, it went off. It appears that if I put my foot way on the pedal, the light will come on. But, if I let off the gas pedal to coast or sit at a stop light, it goes off. Am I being an idiot (probably!)? The truck is an '88 with the V6 EFI. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, fuel consumption has gone WAY up.
