I'm putting a 97 tacoma 3.4 V6 in my 89 truck that now has a 3.0 V6. will the 3.4 tacoma motor mounts match up to the 3.0 mounts in a 89 truck, I'll also be doing a soild axle swap. Will there be any oil pan issus with the stock pan ? Any info on this swap would be great.

A freind did the swap... So far so good (but he is yet to wire it) As I recall there is an issue with the pilot bearing/clutch adaptation... No oil pan interference that I noticed...

Still looking for info on motor mounts and any other mechaical issus like the pilot bearing. I will be using the 3.0 5sp. & t-case . What clutch & flywheel ? Fuel lines ? Do I need a body lift for the hood to clear the motor. and anything else you can think of. Thank You.

If you haven't already checked, www.offroadsolutions.com has some info since they sell kits for 3.4 conversions.

I remember reading somewhere that you have to use an oil pan from a 3.4 equipped T-100 4X4........Hans
