okay i'm getting broke. financially. i'm thinking about selling my truck. but i'm not sure how much it would be worth to someone.

college is killing me finacially, and i have a 2 year old and another due in december. i'm going to have to drop out of 4 wheeling classes until i finish school. its an expensive hobby!

heres what i have done to the truck. i have had it for over 4 years. a lot of blood, sweat, and cussing!:Freak:

heres the specs and pictures:

1985 Toyota Sr5 Xtra cab

suspension:
Front: fabricated front drop spring hanger, longer shackles, rear springs up front with add-a-leaf, ford shock towers, 14" shocks (rough country)
Rear: 91 Yota springs with buggy leaf and longer shackles, 14 rough country shocks, relocated shocks / \, flipped upbolts.

Steering: all-pro hysteer arms, 3/4 heim joints on drag link 3/8 thick dom tubing, shortend fj60 tierod, fj60 power steering box, steering stabilizer

Engine: 85 5mge straight 6 toyota supra swap. 50,000 original miles. performance mods. all new seals, cleaned and balanced injectors, new timing belt, new water pump, new belts.

Tranny: W56
Transfer Case: Stock

Axles:
Front: stock, all-pro hysteer arms, custom diff protection
Rear: Lincoln locked

Tires: 32x11.5x15 on 15x8 steel wheels.

Other stuff: full roll cage, grant steering wheel, new interior. custom built rear shelf. rocker protection.

I am going to take a stab in the dark and say around $5000?

My buddy sold his 83 with 5.29's and a detroit rear with body damage and nothing really special into the truck, bad motor too for $2500, so I'd say 5k, but u might only end up getting 4500 unfortunately.

You're making the right decision, am glad you have your priorities straight. Investing in college and your family will pay you back thousands of times more than any vehicle.

Unfortunately it's rarely possible to get back all the money you invest in a vehicle, unless it's very unique and in perfect shape. If the truck is in good condition with no probs, you could sell it on ebay and reach a huge market. I'd suggest finding your minimum purchase price (3500?) and auction it with no reserve.
