whenever witner rolls into the big CO i put mine back on but i only bolt the corners down. the biggest thing is to put the bolt on the drivers side back in that is the bround for your window motor. it is the second one back from the tailgate on the drivers side if i remember correctly:beer:

I usually just put in the corner bolts as well. Occasionally I'll get all the bolts started, then tighten the ones over the cab to pull the top forward, then do the rest. Also, I like to put some zymol weather strip protectant on the seal to keep it young, healthy and wrinkle free. You can get that from rockymountainmotorworks.

According to my FSM, you are supposed to put all the bolts in, but leave them loose. Then you do the following:

1. Tighten the two lowest front bolts (the horizontal ones that go into the B-pillar on the cab).

2. Tighten the two vertical bolts that are 2nd from the front.

3. Loosen the bolts you tightened in step 1.

4. Tighten the frontmost two vertical bolts.

5. Re-tighten the bolts that you tightened originally in step 1.

6. Put all the other bolts in and tighten them, except for the 3rd vertical bolt from the front on the driver's side. This is the bolt that tells the truck that the top is in place so the rear window and wiper will work.

7. Tighten the final bolt.

All bolts to be tightened to 10 ft.-lbs.

that is the very technical way to do it but as long as you get it bolted down it will work the biggest key is the bolt that controls the window:beer:

When I would take mine off I forgot to bolt it down a couple of times. You know it was starting to rain and I just wanted it covered. Anyways there have been times when I have driven with no bolts in it and I haven't had any problems even wheeling. I just rolled up the rear window and it held everything fine. Not that I am telling you to run it wth no bolts. ( It finnally bit me when I rolled it and nothing would have broke except it fell against my exo-skeloten and broke a rear window.) It just isn't that exact of a science to bolt it on.
