Ok I looked at my front leafs and I wouldn't mind taking one of the leafs if it will give me a softer ride without limiting suspension travel so much. It looks as though there are three springs together.
There are some marks on them: TP3AL.

If I remove one of the leafs will I be ok with just two on there? Will it make it softer, will it make it sit a bit lower? Will it reduce travel?
I don't mind it sitting lower as maybe now it'll be even with the rear since it alreayd sits about 1.5 inches lower than the front. (The rear has an add a leaf and shackle. It has 4 leafs on it. Front is a solid axle.)

How much would it cost for a set of the old man soft ride springs if I decided that route instead?

i don't speak from any kind of experience but only 2 leaves doesn't seem like much to hold up the truck. i guess it should be fine, it's not like they are connected or anything. but i would take out the bottom one and put in a stock front bottom leaf.

need more info man.

what leafs u got up front? if u got tough country or some stiff @$$ spring then u could run one almost. if u are higher in the front and u got a add aleaf in the rear maybe u should redo ur whole suspension cuz sounds like there are more issues than just a stiff ride and ur rig being uneven if u ask me

what springs u got ?
