83 toyota - newbie

never posted anything on my truck before so here it is. 83 toyota pickup, 22R, 5 spd., 200,000 miles, still runs great, just got done painting it. I have some 32 inch bfg's to put on it next and a small lift. next is a locker for the rear. I'll also be making my own soft top bed cover. So far I have like $150 into the truck. I only paid $200 for it, and I sold a couple parts I didn't need. gotta love cheap buildups.

Looks a ton better than my 83 that I paid $300 for. I think I have $400 into it now not including gas. That is with putting two engines in it too.

yeah I really scored bigtime, my neighbor was moving and just wanted it out of the way. it's amazingly clean, hardly any rust at all. I'll keep you guys updated.

Damn thats a deal. I paid 2k for mine with some electrical problems, and 226k. Clean body though. It caught on fire once (electrical) and melted some paint. But she recovered fully. the repair was about $200 in parts and wire, and I have about $2200 invested since then, custom lift, 5.29, locked F/R, ect.
