88-98 1/2 ton chevy springs in the rear of a toyota. they will be perfect with 33s

they will give about 3 inches of lift, and u need to weld a new spring hanger on teh front aboit 10 inches forward.

Blocks....Cheap way of lifting, and guys who run chevys with more than three inches run blocks in the rear. You can buy them at any parts store. Bone yards may have them also!!

replace the front springs with stock springs and do a body lift. u can get fronts for 100 bucks and a lift for 100 bucks and then fit 33's no problem.

if ur gonna wheel it either buy the skyjacker kit if u dont have or want to weld or get a welder and do chevies

i guess ill just do blocks for now untill i get a welder then ill do that. and i am NOT going to do a body lift.

There's nothing wrong with a body lift (if you go under 2") in my opinion.

Do lift your rear correctly, you'll need to replace your springs.

Good luck.

yeah, blocks are good for now but you will end up w/ some worn out, s shaped springs after a while. if they aren't worn already. i would use a short block and an add a leaf.

just so you had one more option on the list

wait up. body lifts are fine i have a 3 inch body lift on my truck and if i didnt have it my 37s would rip my truck apart.

question? is a body lift better than a block or are they the same stinking think.

im not saying my idea is the best but its almost the cheapest out of them all.

it realy dpends on what ur doing with this truck. daily driver then stock springs are cheap and do u fine. if ur gonna wheel it then a body lift IN my opinion is 10 times better than a block.

blocks = trouble in the offroad world. for onroad use they just look silly and cheap

buy a rear set of springs to match the front from skyjacker or a used set but dont do blocks ull regret it later

add-a-leafs, blocks or just new springs.

this is what u asked. buy new springs to match the front if u got the money.

new rear springs to match your fronts will cost about $150 or so. for that money you could go get a set of chevy's from a junkyard( about $60-$80), new spring hangers($30), and just have a shop weld your hangers on for you for about another $30. YOu will get the same lift and the flex will be night and day between those and a stiff set of aftermarket springs. With the chevy's you would also have to either run a double shackle set up, or also have new a new shackle hanger welded behind your old one. Just my 2 cents. good luck with the truck.

not to make you think longer, but I hated my 5" skyjacker lift! The springs didn't flex near what I wanted, and my rear was saggy after a year. (granted I rallied my open diffs up trails like the moab rim) I will never buy that lift again. My alcans were spendy, but I'm much happier.

you really don't have to have them match the front.

its just a daily driver and itll be like a weekend truck. so i only wanna do 3" with 33"s. i dont really care bout flex but it would be nice. and i just want it to hold up.

Yes, I generally like to steer folks away from Skyjackers, they bend. People told me, I bought them, and yes, they bent on me.:cuss: BUT, if it is only a weekend driver YOU WILL OK WITH THE SKYJACKERS. Just fyi, All Pro rear springs are really not that much more the the SJ's....
