It's time to get rid of the old IFS and put in a solid front axle. I'm looking for tips on the best type of axle and modifications to it. I want to do it right the first time. Also I'm planning on having a shop do the swap. Any suggestion and about how much it's going to set me back? Thanks for your help. Hope to see you on the trail soon.

I'm running 4.56 and i like them. It's my daily driver. It also has a 4 inch lift. Maybe a 2inch body lift later if needed. I'll be putting new transfer gears in also to get my low low 4wheel drive. what places can do the swap?

Marlin Crawler carries a full front solid axle swap kit. Includes: front hanger, tubes, jigs, shackles, high steer crossover steering, brake lines, front flip kit, shocks, shock hoops, steering stabilizer, wheel spacers, vented rotors and bumpstops. The kit is $1499. Install labor is the same at $1499. Add to this about $300 for an axle.

what vehicle u doing this to, 4runner or ifs? what lift do u want? are u going to keep the rear the same and then just make the front match the rear? how big do u ultimatly want to go? what kind of driving do u want to do with this vehicle? is this ur daily driver or are u towing?

????

if u need help just ask if u gonna do it urself.

if u gonna pay someoen to do it id suggest rocklogic.

personaly i think the experience u get from doing it urself is a lot better than paying someone. more appreciative of it

Rocklogic 4x4 will do the front for around $1800 and the rear for about $500 for the basics. They said it takes about a week. Give them a call 801-463-1220 or click here. (http://www.rocklogic4x4.com)

Yes we just dropped the price to $1,375!

I would reconsider the tru-track, I'd go with the full Detroit. The limited slip will open up and spin a tire and soon as a tire comes off the ground.
