I took a toyota tercel in for emissions the other day and it failed, it had high CO has anyone ever had this problem, I think it is because the car is burning to rich. I do not know what to do, diagnostic shops charge quite a bit to dig into the problem, I did the quick diagnostic bypass and got an error 25 (counted the check engine light blinks). Does anyone even know a good honest diagnostic shop in the valley anything would help thanks

According to : http://www.troublecodes.net/Toyota/ a trouble code of 25 indicates that your air/fuel ratio is lean. did you give the car a tune up before you smogged it? plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, new air filter? im sure that that would help, and if it hasnt been done recently it probably needs it anyway. Try some fuel injector cleaner too.
